Our policies protect your safety, our therapists, and ensure a professional
environment for everyone. Please take a moment to review them before your first visit.

Booking & Appointment Policy

All services require a confirmed appointment. Walk‑ins are welcome only if a therapist is immediately available, but we strongly recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time and service.

  • Online booking is available 24/7 via our website. You will receive an email and/or SMS confirmation.
  • Phone bookings are accepted during business hours. Please provide a valid phone number and email address.
  • Same‑day appointments may be available – call us to check availability.
  • For couples massage or groups, please call to coordinate simultaneous bookings.
  • We reserve the right to request a credit card to hold appointments for longer sessions (90+ minutes) or multiple bookings.

Friendly reminder: We send a confirmation 24 hours before your appointment. Please ensure your contact information is correct.

Cancellation & No‑Show Policy

We understand that plans change. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another guest.

  • Cancellations with at least 24 hours’ notice: No fee. You may reschedule or cancel without charge.
  • Cancellations within less than 24 hours: A fee of 50% of the service price will be charged.
  • No‑show (missed appointment without any notice): Full price of the booked service will be charged.
  • For packages or gift certificates, a no‑show will deduct one full session from your package.
  • In case of emergency or sudden illness, please call us directly – we will work with you fairly.

Late cancellations and no‑shows impact our therapists’ ability to earn a living. Thank you for respecting our time.

Late Arrival Policy

We value your time and ours. Please plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork and relax before your session.

  • If you arrive late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time so that the next client is not delayed.
  • 15+ minutes late without notice: your appointment may be considered a no‑show, and the full cancellation fee may apply.
  • If you know you will be late, please call us immediately. We will do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee the full service duration.
  • Excessive tardiness (multiple occurrences) may require a non‑refundable deposit for future bookings.

Arriving early allows you to change, hydrate, and begin your relaxation on a peaceful note.

Payment & Refund Policy

  • Accepted payments: Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and RAKSA gift cards/e‑gift cards.
  • Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made (e.g., corporate accounts or prepaid packages).
  • Gratuity is not included in service prices. It is appreciated but entirely optional.
  • Refunds: We do not offer cash refunds for services already rendered. If you are dissatisfied, please speak with our manager immediately – we will make it right (e.g., complimentary adjustment or partial credit).
  • Unused gift cards or packages are non‑refundable but fully transferable. They expire according to the terms stated at purchase (if any). New Jersey law does not require expiration dates on gift certificates; however, packages may have a 1‑year activation period – please ask.
  • Chargebacks without prior attempt to resolve the issue will result in a permanent ban from booking.

Your satisfaction matters. If something wasn’t right, let us know before you leave – we’ll always try to improve your experience.

Health & Safety Policy

Massage therapy is a wellness practice, not a substitute for medical care. Your safety is our highest priority.

  • You must complete a Client Intake Form before your first session and update it whenever your health changes.
  • Please disclose any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medications, or recent surgeries. Failure to do so may result in refusal of service.
  • If you have a contagious illness (fever, flu, COVID‑19, skin infection), please reschedule – we will waive the cancellation fee.
  • Pregnant clients: Thai massage with deep stretching is generally safe after the first trimester, but please notify us. We may request a doctor’s note for high‑risk pregnancies.
  • For clients with blood clots, severe osteoporosis, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or recent major surgery, we require a physician’s written clearance.
  • Our therapists are trained in CPR and first aid. In case of a medical emergency, 911 will be called immediately.

New Jersey state law (NJAC 13:37-2) requires that we obtain a health history and inform you that massage therapy does not include diagnosis or treatment of illness.

Professional Conduct & Boundaries

RAKSA is a strictly professional, therapeutic wellness center. Any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

  • All sessions are therapeutic and non‑sexual. Any request or insinuation of a sexual nature will result in immediate termination of the session, full payment required, and a permanent ban from the premises.
  • Clients must remain appropriately draped at all times (under sheet or towel). Our therapists follow strict draping protocols in accordance with NJ massage therapy regulations.
  • Respectful communication is expected. Offensive language, harassment, or aggressive behavior will end the session immediately.
  • Clients under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs will be refused service (no refund).
  • We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to anyone who violates these boundaries.

This policy protects both you and our therapists. We maintain a safe, peaceful environment for everyone.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Your personal and health information is protected under our clinic privacy practices, consistent with HIPAA principles (even though we are a massage practice, we follow strict confidentiality).

  • We do not share your information with third parties except as required by law (e.g., subpoena, public health emergency).
  • Intake forms and session notes are stored securely and accessible only to licensed therapists and clinic management.
  • We may use anonymous, aggregated data for quality improvement. No identifying information will be published.
  • You have the right to request a copy of your records (reasonable fee may apply).

Right to Refuse Service

RAKSA Luxury Thai Massage reserves the right to refuse or terminate service to any person for violation of these policies, unsafe behavior, inappropriate conduct, or any reason that compromises the well‑being of our staff or other clients.

  • Refusal of service does not entitle the client to a refund for any unused packages or gift certificates if the refusal is due to policy violation.
  • We also reserve the right to refuse service if a client’s medical condition makes massage contraindicated (e.g., contagious rash, fever, severe uncontrolled epilepsy).

Children & Companions

  • Our space is designed for relaxation. Children under 12 are not permitted unless they are receiving a service with parental consent and direct supervision.
  • Companions who are not receiving a service may wait in the lobby area but must remain quiet out of respect for other guests.
  • We do not provide childcare. Please make appropriate arrangements.

Lost or Damaged Items

RAKSA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Lockers are available but please keep valuables at home. If you find a lost item, please notify staff; we will hold found items for 14 days.
