Frequently Asked Questions
Short, straight answers about our massages, prices, booking and visiting Raksa in Ramsey, NJ.
Our massages
What is Raksa Signature?
Our most popular massage. It combines Thai stretching, pressure-point work and deep bodywork in one session. Raksa Signature Special is $110 for 60 minutes through December 31, 2026 (Incl. NJ tax ≈ $117); first-time guests pay $89 (Incl. NJ tax ≈ $95).
What is the difference between Thai massage and deep tissue?
Thai massage uses rhythmic pressure and assisted, yoga-like stretching. Deep tissue uses slow, firm pressure on tight muscles with little stretching. Raksa Signature blends both.
Which massage is best for tight neck and shoulders?
Raksa Signature, or Intense Deep Tissue if you love very strong pressure. Both can spend extra time on neck, shoulders and upper back. You can also add an Upper Back, Neck & Shoulder Focus (20 min, $40).
Do you offer sports massage?
Yes — our Sports Recovery massage, made for active people and strong, muscular builds. We use mostly Thai-style foot pressure, which reaches through big muscles, plus deep assisted stretching. $180 for 60 minutes (≈ $192 incl. NJ tax); we recommend 90 minutes ($270).
Do you offer prenatal massage?
Yes. A gentle, side-lying session with extra pillows. Prenatal Special is $125 for 60 minutes, $180 for 90 and $240 for 120 through April 30, 2027. Incl. NJ tax ≈ $133 for 60 minutes. Please check with your doctor first and fill out our Intake Form before your visit.
Do you offer couples massage?
Yes. Two tables side by side in one private room. $300 for 60 minutes, or $199 (≈ $212 incl. NJ tax) with our Couples Special through December 31, 2026.
What should I wear for Thai massage?
You keep your underwear on and stay covered with a sheet or blanket. A soft satin Thai outfit is optional for Thai stretching.
How often should I get a massage?
It’s up to you. Many guests who work long hours or often feel tight come once a week; others visit every two to four weeks. Our Silver and Gold memberships make regular visits easier on your budget.
Should I book 60 or 90 minutes?
Most guests pick 90 minutes for Raksa Signature and Sports Recovery — more time to hold each point and stretch. 60 minutes is great for a regular visit.
